Caught the Bug
Looks dope! Digging the colors.
Thanks Jay! Wish we could have made a trip to see you this time, but think we will be back in July/August for a camping trip so I'll def let you know as soon as we lock that in

Took advantage of a big sale today and finally picked up my Truck-Lite headlights. Love them, wish I had done it sooner!View attachment 147478
Also had to put on some brake line extension brackets. Going to add exhaust spacer next too so I don't risk tearing the axle boot on the Rubicon Run.View attachment 147479
And a minor thing I've been meaning to pickup for a while, the stubby antennaView attachment 147480
I wouldn't waste your money on the spacers. I have them and tore the boot first time out.
That will depend on his shocks. The bilstien 5160 1-3" lift shocks did not allow enough droop to rip Tracy's boot with the spacers installed.

If this is true, then it sounds like it's worth it, if not, it's a waste. I thought they were 5100s, but maybe they were 5160.I do know they are 1"-3" lift shocks though
5160's have the external reservoir. I believe you have the 5100's.
You're correct, so verdict is, don't waste my time or $ right?
Time is 10 minutes of that and money is $30. It might work. I don't think they are really needed since most likely your driveshaft will shit the bed because of the angle of the CV not the torn boot.
That said, I have the spacers.
Edit: you have the protek skids? I don't believe the spacers work with the protek.
Ok that's not bad, but yes I have the protek so then it's not going to work. Thanks for the heads up before going down that path.
What do you guess is my lifetime on the current driveshaft? I drive 4 miles a day on road and some trips to SoCal for vacation. I'm going on the July Rubicon trip and have had it on a few others like the JKX weekender. A couple months ago it was at the dealership and they warned me they were seeing some wear on the boot and recommended the spacer and brake line extensions, I did those already. Appreciate the advice!![]()
I wouldn't worry about it. If you see a free factory driveshaft on here pick it up to have a spare but don't sweat it. You'll have warning (clicking noises) when it starts to go out.

Correct, the spacers do not work with the skids.
On a side note, op let me know if you have issues w/o the spacers. Tracy has the protek skids in her garage and I was debating pulling the spacers for her.
Will do. After Rubicon trip I'll have it checked out and let you know how it went.
