Build of my JKU

Yep, delay on pumpkins.

Foundries are trying to keep up with the demand of made in America parts. With the Buy America content upped from 51% to 90% it's only gonna get worse. No one's building foundries here anymore because of the regulations but
politicians are mandating increased BA content for construction projects. Genius. :rolleyes2:

So, if no one is building foundries here ( and by here I assume you mean USA) the axles are not USA made correct?

Meanwhile, the environmental restrictions are increasing and strangling heavy industry in the states. Only a handful of foundries left and struggling to meet demand.

Sorry for your delays, Alan. It’s going to be totally worth your wait though!

I think he means "New" foundries to support the increased demand for USA made product.

What CalSgt said. They outsource the castings to foundries here in the US, and surprisingly there are a bunch in Ca, just that the demand is going up so backlogs are really getting extended.

It's not just you man... My buddy ordered axles from Carbon... and he has been waiting months because Currie can't get the parts. It's frustrating for sure.

So out of curiosity would you guys consider the Currie 60 extreme set closer to PR60 or XD?

The only thing that made me look twice at these is the fact that the front axle uses unit bearings vs a rebuildable bearing or kingpin setup. I get that all of the HD pickups use these now, but
I'm partial to the bearing setup.

Edit: They also use stock rear JK calipers and " rotor, vs the bigger dual pot calipers that DT/Fusion & others use.

Lol, I was where you're at this time last year, looking through the options out there. And I tend to remember stupid details but forget important ones sometimes

Edit: Out of curiosity, whats the lead on their 9" Ford based axles? Those are no joke. Bubba build his set and are what were on his Jeep for the Bubba Jump.

Well considering they let the manufacturing base head overseas and then strangled the industries with regulations forcing closings, THEN push the Buy America, American Iron and Steel act, and here in Pa, the Pa Steel Act (75% US content) proves they don't care about reality, they just want it to look good

I may have missed it, but why no UD60s? Granted I don't have a ton of miles on mine but so far so good.

I looked extensively into the UD60s and if I could get my hands on a set now I would purchase them. I made some phone calls yesterday and they're on a 60-day back order.

They were priced a little bit higher than the hardcore package and I was very impressed with my Pro Rock 44 so I stuck with DT being that they are local as well.

Currie is down the street from me as well but I can't wrap my head around how their axle is so much more than hardcore package.

Got it. I too had a pr44 before and was super impressed, but the wait is what swayed me the other way. At the time the axles shipped super fast, but then I got slammed at work and didn't have the time to install until months later:crazyeyes: I hope you get some answers soon.
