BrankZ thread

not enough information... could be a small guy with a smaller hammer under your seat, or a bomb... what was your temp when all this happened? is your check engine light on? how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

No check engine light, no lil bro with a hammer under my seat ( I did check for a lil elf) I was paranoid with the noise there was no noise , but I did see lots of steam in the freeway, my coolant level was a lil low I fix that, but why I had a coolant explosion? Or big leak?
This is the 2 time.
I will replace the radiator cap just in case.

Branks your rig doesn't overheat for no reason. Maybe check your water pump and or thermostat, that could wind up being a bigger issue if you don't take care of it now.

I did replace the water pump 5 months ago, I will replace the thermostat, this week.

But do u know of some one that this happened to them, engine with lots of dry coolant?

I just checked the upper and lower hose and there hot and have pressure, so it's not the thermostat. I hate this days when u find stuff like this in you Baby jk.

who replaced the water pump and why? did said person bleed all the air out of the cooling system? if your thermostat isnt opening up due to low coolant then you should replace it due to possible damage to thermostat, also be sure to use the required coolant to prevent damage to engine parts

I took it to the shop because it was leaking and they told me to replace the pump, they did it and yes they bleed it.
I do have the correct coolant ( orange)

Branks you might want to take it back to the shop who did the install, see if they can help you out. :yup:

Most shops have a 12 month 12000 mile warranty and that should cover this issue

I saw on tv a guy drilled a little hole in the disc part of the thermostat to help the coolant system bleed out air. I have no idea if this is a good idea? It was tv and not the interweb or I'd say it is definitely true

Thank you, but my friend found the problem, he did a air pressure test and it was perfect so he told me the only other thing that can be was the radiator cap.
