BLACKED OUT JL Wrangler Pinch Seams

If there's a down side to running aftermarket rocker guards like the brand new LoD Signature Series Rock Sliders we just installed on our JL Wrangler, it'd be the fact that the pinch seams are totally exposed and kinda look... well, unsightly or at least, to me anyway. They just look so unfinished on an otherwise clean looking Jeep and I could never understand why Jeep doesn't make any effort to clean things up a bit here especially for people who own Sports or Saharas without side steps. Anyway, I've always made a point to black out the pinch seams on my JK's and so made sure to do the same on our JL. In the past, I literally just painted them black but this time around, I decided to use black vinyl instead. Here are a few shots of what they looked like before and after.

Anyway, just thought I'd share what the JL Wrangler pinch seams look like blacked out. To me, it makes a big difference in how they look especially if you don't have Rubicon rock sliders installed.
Really liked the idea of using vinyl! The blacked out pinch seam keeps your eyes from being drawn away from the look of the rock sliders. LOL I've seen some videos of guys painting the pinch seams, & although I've painted my share of projects, you always run the risk of over spray. I'm sure I could find some sort of vinyl tape, but to make it easier, & take advantage of your research & what worked for you, could you reply with a link or a description of what & where you got the vinyl you used.

After a lot of research, I also decided to install the LOD Signature Series #1841 rock sliders to my build. I appreciated your installation video. After watching, it gave me a heads up of what to expect. As far as possibly having to loosen the body bushing bolts to move the large washers, LOD must have heard customers crying. LOL They revamped the design of their sliders, instead of having a complete circle that would've had to pass over the large washer under the body bushing bolts, LOD made an opening in that circle that allows the sliders to pass over the washers without loosening the bolts. I've heard enough stories of guys snapping off the bolts. OMG!

I should have more in stock soon. Maybe this week.
