Caught the Bug
Does anyone have one of these or has seen one in person? I've had Bestop Trektops before and assume the quality is the same.

I am mostly interested in the bikini top to run most of the year (hard top in winter). I realize there are other bikini top manufacturers out there that are less expensive, but having the ability to close up the rear passenger section to wind/weather is a real benefit. I made something similar work (using one made for a different application) with one of my old jeeps.

What are your thoughts?
 
I've been eyeing that one too... Bestop sells it as an upgrade for the trektop or as a complete kit so I would assume its the same exact top with the added windbreaker and rear compartment cover.
 
Have not seen it but we were recently looking at the quadratec mastertop too. Not sure the differences or pros/cons.

The windbreaker is nice to have. I made one fit on my 2012 JK and it makes a big difference in how much I could run the trektop without the rear windows while having kids in the back seat.
 
I have the trek top on my JKU and also have the bestop rear deck tonneau cover and windjammer. I typically run the back of the trektop open with the tonneau cover on and windjammer in place which has a similar look to the half top version you are looking at. But when we need the extra storage for trips I put the back panels of the trek top on and gain that extra area you lose with the half top version. Just a thought.

Well, I actually found a hardly used (less than a few months) factory soft top being sold locally along with a mesh sun shade. Needless to say I couldn't pass it up. Now to decide if I want the rest of the half top or not.

Took a topless shot before I went and picked up the soft top. This jeep is starting to grow on me.
