Best Lift?

Hey guys!
Just bought a JK, and it currently has 35's and bilstein shocks but I'm not sure if it actually has been lifted or if it even has one on there, but it does rub just a little at full turn.
Anyways, I wanted to get your opinions on which lift I should be planning to look for and buy? 35's are great for now, but I'd love to have the ability to expand in the future.

Are you running factory wheels? Post a picture of the Jeep.

What WJCO said, if you're running factory wheels or ones with too much back spacing, that would explain the rubbing you're seeing at a full turn. Wheel spacers or new wheels with less back spacing will fix that.

As far as lifts go, are you planning to keep the 35's or go bigger and what kind of budget are you working with and what kind of wheeling do you do?

No factory wheels. They’re XD Spy’s. They’re what came with it. I'm not sure what kind of backspacing they have.

I am new to wheeling, so trails here and there but I would love to eventually grow and take on some more challenging trails.

As far as lifts, I like 35’s, I’d love to eventually go to 37’s decently soon and 40’s down the road depending on how serious I get with it. But I know that is a process of getting there.

Your left front coil looks pretty bowed in the picture. There looks to be a spacer on top of the spring so it looks like someone has lifted it. I'm wondering if an adjustable track bar would help straighten out the axle and prevent the rubbing problem you're having. On the axle end of the front track bar, is there a bracket that's raising it up?

Yeah my fear is the person who owned it before my probably just did the cheapest thing to get 35’s under it. I want to do it the right way which is why I’m wondering if I need to do a lift to correct any issues that it may have

It has a spacer on that bowed left front spring so someone has put a budget boost/spacer lift kit on it which don't include many of the necessary components for your Jeep to ride properly after it's lifted. Try looking up those wheels, quick google search will help, to find out its backspacing. 4.75 and under should be just fine, assuming they're 35x12.50s, so also see if you need a new adjustable trackbar to have both wheels sitting evenly on each side of the Jeep. Quick tape measure from the edge of the fenders to the outside of the tire's sidewall - if they're even poking out at all - can determine if it's centered. Check for a relocated bracket on the front trackbar mount and post up more pics of you aren't sure if it is one.

As far as a lift I'd recommend, something like a JKS 2.5" kit or an Evo 3," or at least a kit with a new set of springs, to keep it clean, comfortable, and capable. But first find out what's wrong with the current setup to avoid an issue in the future - regardless of lift type and size.

The wheels look like XD840 Spy II. If so, the 17x8 come with a 5.21 inch backspacing while the 17x9 are 4.53. If you are getting the rub at full turn, you most likely have the 17x8.
