Best Home Adds and Fixtures

Our plumber said they are Pieces of shit and expensive. We have recently been forced to install a couple of these do to Title 24 requirements.. Plan is to remove them and install a standard gas unit after final inspection.
They are certainly a lot more complicated than a gas heater. They are more like an air conditioner but you might be hard pressed to find someone willing to try to fix it.

It’s a new system that I have to install. What needs to be EPA friendly and have a fan? Mine seems pretty easy and straight forward. Besides having to pump it 400’ uphill.
It might be a Va thing but after we bought this place we found out it was some new type septic system. The septic guy said it came after Obama changed a bunch of rules. I dunno but if you don’t have to any of that good.

If you can, install a dual pump system with a manifold you can switch back and forth. Shitty situation if a single one fails.
Good idea. I’m sure I could but I can also get them locally six days a week so if I had an issue and had to wait for a day it’s not a huge deal. I’ll look and see what’s required for dual pump though.

My parents had a sand mound system and had to pump up to it from a holding tank. Came in handy quite a few times. For the pump
I'd recommend Liberty Pumps. Great company & best pumps on the market. Still made up in Bergen NY, outside Batavia.

You might know, for the AV stuff for the TV I was gonna run that electrical tubing conduit but then had an idea yesterday to just run 1” pvc so I don’t have to worry about catching the wire on the ribs. Any thoughts?

Yup. That’s who we are going to get.

Doesn't really matter... just make sure the i.d. is big enough for the cable ends to feed through.. hdmi etc.

This is the simple solution if you have a lower cabinet for the cable boxes and hardware:

This scenario is above a fireplace so a large box was installed to hide the hardware behind the TV:
(On Monday I can get a shot inside the box if you want.. on this one the power outlet is built in. )
