Axle swap jack stand placement

Anyone got any tips for jack stand placement to pull both axles without a lift?

Last axle swap I did was just the front so it didn't seem as sketchy lifting it nose high past level, but this time im pulling both and being a 2dr I feel like it's gonna be so front heavy with just jack stands on the frame between the control arms.
 
You should be fine with jack stands on your frame rails. If you want more security up front, you can use a hi-lift to hold it up from the bumper but really, I don’t think it’s necessary. Of course, you can always just do one side at a time 👍🏻

gottcha, thanks! i was looking at something like these to help support off the front and back bumpers but they are quite expensive and not sure how much they would be in the way to work.

I gotta pull them both at the same time. My dad is snagging my old axles about a month before the new ones should be showing up. Jeeps gonna be on stands for a bit

I have this set - they work great. While the swap was done on a lift I've had the jeep up on these several times. They're pretty high so working on your back you have to reach up higher than normal. Other than that 👍🏼
 
I did a front and rear axle swap. I placed the Jeep up on 4-jacks. Front end on 6-ton and back end on 3-ton. The balance was great. I had the tires along the outer edge at times as a back up.

Yellow jacks are 6-ton, red 3-ton. Floor jack was helpful while lining up control arms.

The red jack up front was used to hold the axle up while I unbolted it.


Furniture movers were really handy.

This was a one man operation, slow but not difficult.

Ended up buying a set of those tall ones. $250 was worth my piece of mind I guess smd then if for some reason they are in the way to work I'll have the weight on the frame stands

Sweet sounds like I should be set then, I have 2 sets of 6 tons for the frame Jack's, I also bought a set of the car dolly rollers to roll the axles in and out. 3 pairs of regular jack stands 2 of the super tall stands and 2 roller dollies I think I'll be good to go
