Auto Parts Store Costs

So, I started as a delivery driver for a major auto parts store this week.

One of the "perks" of being an employee is a discount on parts purchased from the store.

I was in need of new wiper blades, I normally get the RainX whatever they are called blades.

Retail is $39.99 each.

With my employee discount they were $17.54 each.

You know they still made money on what I bought.

I didn't realize their mark-up was THAT much. But, we're a "free" market so whatever the market will bear.

But it gives you something to think about.

How long have you been retired? Not that much longer than me. I have not been bored yet. Too much to do to possibly be bored.
