I would like to remove the powder coat from the rings. Does anybody have any tips or suggestions?
Yeah. You could sell your old ones to me and buy new ones!!
Go wheeling in some rocks.
Our local powder coating place will sandblast the things I bring them and re-powdercoat them. Might try that.

You can try and get some Benco B17, but I would remove the rings when doing it.
I used a flapper sanding disc on a grinder, 180 grit then went to 220 grit, worked great, you could actually just about get a polished looked if you finished is with a 500/1000 then some polish.
That may be the way to go. LOL I would like to go with ton axles soon, so I have to go with different bolt pattern anyway.
I have a set of 8lug slabs I'll sell ya. Brand new set of 5 in my house in Ohio
eastwood sells a power coat remover but the rings would need to be pulled
Super Strip will peel it right off. You can get it at Sherwin-Williams. :thumb:
Thanks, have you ever done this without taking the rings off.
