Send a message if you get stuck or need anything. Im off tomorrow and only have a few places to go around Centennial Hills and Hood North Vegas.

Thanks man! I'll definitely hit you up if I get off early enough to get this done. I live in Mountains edge area... got to love the ghetto rig shizz!!!... thank you for all the help!!!

Eddie is there a better way? What about adding a spacer or two to the rear body mounts so it just lifts it enough so it doesn't hit the mount?

This is not really a fix. Its basically like trying to fix death wobble with a steering stabilizer. By putting the rubber isolator between the two parts that are making contact, its making it so you cant hear it but guaranteed its still hitting and in time it will dent your tub up. I don't think the rubber will ever get so loose it will fall out but the main thing is, it will eliminate the sound. You can get longer bolts and washers and space the body up, this would technically be a fix or just beat it with a hammer and rock on. Make sure you space up the entire tub, not just the back.

/\ read and know this too. All its doing is keeping you from hearing it. I think I have the mud flap at the office I cut up for this too so don't go buying any rubber floor mats or mud flaps yet.

I call that a ghetto fix, man that noise was making me regret my coil over choices.... but if it makes that clunk go away that would be a God send for sure....if it dents the tub a little oh well lol..

Honestly, I'd have to see what's actually going on and what's hitting what. Sounds like a very small body lift might do the trick.

Okay so bashing in the tub with a hammer is better than adding a small piece of rubber?

Haha well first thing is good luck hammering it in as there is no room to do that. Second is thats even more ghetto! I actually think there may be another word to describe that lol.

Adding a body lift after spending $5k on coil overs is never going to happen here as I don't want one.

So installing a small piece of rubber (isolator) is a problem?

If its cut small enough it cant even be seen. It doesn't physically hit hard enough to cause any damage. After adding the rubber it doesn't hit as the space is filled between the mount and the tub.

Great thing is the clunking is gone after tightening every suspension bolt 3 times, multiple trips to EVO, and about loosing my mind!

If someone has a legit fix I'd love to hear it!

I hope you didn't take what I was saying the wrong way. I am by no means giving you grief for what you did to solve your problem. If anything, I would have thought that EVO would of had a better solution.

Not to sound stupid but OP, what year is your jku? I ask cause maybe your factory body mounts are worn out allowing it to make contact. I know I don't hit on my 2011 which is partly why I ask

Well I stuffed that rubber Matt in between the body and the mount... it's like 90% better ... do you guys still hear that thump if your hitting some big bumps offroading? I kinda still it a little bit

Is it possible to take a pic of what you did? I'd love to see what the problem is.

New here from WV first post. Thanks for the tip I just installed my coilover kit on my 2016 JKUR and have been hearing the same noise. It's driving me nuts, I'm gonna try that tomorrow when I get off work. I thought it was the two silver rings being set to low but I moved them up to 3/4 of and inch and that didn't help. Then I thought it was my muffler hitting that bracket but nope. so maybe this rubber will do the trick!
