Any Mountain Bikers?

Thread revival, recommendations on a qood rear hitch or spare tire bike rack. Any suggestions from those of you with experience in this area? Really don’t wanna spend mor than $250

I use a Graber Hitch Rack. It’s was around $130. It clears the spare tire and can be mounted on a 2” or 1” hitch so it’s flexible. I use it on my Jeep and my camper hitch.

It came with one quick release pin for tilting and I swapped the other bolt out for a quick release so it can be easily removed.

Made in Wisconsin, Graber All Star and is a platform style. Seems like a good value, thanks for the heads up on this brand and price is right at $150 for Christmas...score!

I haven’t figured this one out yet . I have a hitch mounted kuat nv . Need a hitch extended to clear the spare tire . However the rear gate doesn’t open with the rack mounted . Can mount it with a hitch dropper 2” which makes it so you can open door when the rack is empty and lowered but this decreases clearance substantially so can’t wheel with rack on . Not a good solution . Think a company from New Zealand makes a better rack but it’s pricey .

My bros north shore rack on his LC 80 is better and more functional IMO

Nice bike! I’ve got an older Specialized Hardrock that’s been a work horse.

When all this silliness started and was furloughed from work for six weeks. I bought a new bike and have been enjoying getting back into it. I got a trek marlin 6. I’m going to check out new wheels and front forks for it tomorrow.

This is from today’s ride. From parking to summit was 1,676 ft elevation gain in just over 3.5 miles.

Awesome, man. Looks like a great ride.
I finally bought a new bike after my 1990 cannondale got stolen:

I went to a buddies place to check out some new wheels and forks, to upgrade my bike. Ended up buying one of his extra bikes. 🤦*♀️. View attachment 348563

Here’s my 2014 Trek Slash 7 from my most recent ride a couple weeks ago. One of the highlights of living in SW CO is the shear abundance of killer trails at our disposal.
