I'll be interested in hearing what you think about it and to see how it does.No kidding. Incredible how terrible they are. When I get around to getting it replaced, I’ll give the Gorilla Glass a shot.

Thanks...I think I'll give one a shot as well on Brute...since the weather is cool in the morning, but heating up into the 70's by afternoon, the crack is getting longer.I am not sure. I’ll find out in a bit once the service department opens up.
I've been thru 5 on my JK. When I bought the JT they offered us a windshield warranty. We couldn't stop laughing! We paid the $400. On the way home we caught a rock and chipped the windshield. We are waiting until something more significant before we cash in on the first replacement.

We have glass coverage (zero dollar deductible) through our auto insurance. I think it's like 4 bucks per month. We have used it many times. We have Metlife but they just got bought out by Farmers.Haha
Hilarious. I would have paid for that warranty too. And I avoid any type of paid up front warranty stuff like the plague.

I hope it works out for you...I was checking it out on the Mopar site...apparently it has a two year warrantyWelp. 6+ hours later they still don’t know if the Gorilla Glass replacement they can get is compatible with my JT due to all the sensors and stuff. Msrp is $793 not including labor.
So I’m in a holding pattern as the parts department needs to get ahold of someone at Chrysler to confirm compatibility on the part number they have.

Really?? Well that sucks. Thanks for sharing the infoJust heard back from the dealer. Due to the thickness of the Gorilla Glass it is not compatible if you have adaptive cruise and crash detection/avoidance sensors.
Bummer
Well that's too bad...I think I'll still try it on Brute...my crash detection is when I come to an abrupt halt...Just heard back from the dealer. Due to the thickness of the Gorilla Glass it is not compatible if you have adaptive cruise and crash detection/avoidance sensors.

My question is, will it just make replacing it more expensive?Looks like Gorilla Glass may be an option for future Jeep purchases.
