I'll be honest and say that I'm not 100% sure about pricing. I was under the impression that they were $3790 for all 4. Still pricey even at that though. They are expensive at around $8K for a set of 4 you probably won’t see many around.
they’ve been big in the bike and road race scene for s long time.
They measure 57mm and so that puts them at about 2.25. And yes, they do have position sensitive hydraulic bump stops built into them. Also, I really like that they have adjustments for both compression AND rebound.I think they are aligned with other quality 2.5 reservoir shocks, plus these are internal bypass if i read correctly.
Gotcha, So a little smaller, sounds like a lot of tech built into them, curious to see how you like them. They measure 57mm and so that puts them at about 2.25. Yeah, just by a bit. Holding them up to my 2.5 KINGs, they pretty much look the same.Gotcha, So a little smaller, sounds like a lot of tech built into them, curious to see how you like them.
Yeah, I'm not so keen on where they put the rebound adjuster on them. On the bike there was a big outer knob and smaller inner knob in same location at top of shock on the frame going to remote reservoir. They measure 57mm and so that puts them at about 2.25. Yeah yeah that's cool and all but mainly, they're gold! They measure 57mm and so that puts them at about 2.25. And yes, they do have position sensitive hydraulic bump stops built into them. Also, I really like that they have adjustments for both compression AND rebound.
Don't really need shocks like this to go rock crawling. I'd say that these shocks are aimed more for people who have money to work with, who want a great daily drive ride and can get out on desert trails/fire roads with ultimate comfort. Essentially, your typical "overlander" type. Me, I'm hoping I can dial them in so that I can bomb across the desert at least as well as your basic bolt-on coilover kit if not better. But, we'll see.Looking good.
So what do they want you to do?
Desert Bombing
Rock Crawling
Dune Hopping
Mall Crawling
A little lighter gold and they’d match the 392 badgesThis is what these Ohlins shocks look like installed up front.
And, here are a few of the rear.
