My guess would be the vehicle still communicates with the module instead of killing the power to it it instead kills the signal from sensors

When I go wheeling in the Sand... I pull the J6 fuse. It disables the ABS/ESP systems.... I can do donuts for days and it won't kick in climbing hills. Don't know if that helps.

Stuck on the side of the highway yesterday in ABS limp mode. Didn’t know which fuse to pull.

Really not sure yet. Had just come off the trail and immediately after I hit the highway, CEL and ESC / ABS, lit up. Checked for obvious damaged lines, and didn’t see anything.

But yea I didn’t know you could create a clean bypass and have everything else work normally by pulling the fuse

For now I’ll just add the ABS light to the air bag light on the dash.

daughter just called saying she had ABS/ESC lights and her 2015 JKU felt like it was dragging, limp mode.

Had her pull fuse J6, and she was able to drive off without further issues.

Bought me some time until I return to hell and can isolate which sensor is causing the issue.
