I understand most are weld on and it's better but this kit is a full bolt on or weld on its up to the installer that's what it says on evos website

I have a buddy who will weld for me but from what it says online you do not have to weld anything if I don't want to

Both are correct. It's a bolt on OR weld on LA system. Only the high clearance kit requires weld on for the rear

thanks for the input i thought it can be a bolt on if you want , i plan on doing it bolt on till i eventually get my coil overs than ill have everything welded in place but for now it will be bolt on when i order it :wings:
 
If you have a 2010 or 2011 you have to relocate the drivers side catalytic converter which was a pain in the ass. If you are good with a torch and grinder you don't need to drop the gas tank. The high clearance brackets are for the EVOlever coilover in the back.

Forgot to add that on a '12 or newer the exhaust trumpet needs to be cut and turned around for clearance.
 
I have this kit and a set of JE Reel 1350s sitting on my garage floor... if you want to wait a couple weeks, ill get some pics for you. im in afghanistan, but ill be back to the jeep in just a few weeks! mine will be running 3in coils and 35s on a 2dr
 
Mine is currently still on the lift so i wont be driving it until I get back from Austrailia in November, but it'll be finished by than.

I have a lot of angles of the kit.. as the shop send me atleast 20 pictures a day, so if you need any... just ask.
 
So the kit has been installed on my jeep for at least a month now and I'm looking forward to driving it for the first time! :grayno: I get home in two weeks. :rock: I'll give you guys some feedback once I get home!

You might as well just weld it in now if you plan to weld it later.

I know that drilling the frame shouldn't impact its integrity, but why drill the holes if you plan on welding later anyway? Just a thought. I have no proof that those holes will cause a break in the future.

Wud love to know if u had any fittament issued with the Evo rock sliders ? I have my sliders welded on and it looks like the new CA brackets will get in the way


I don't always wheel , but when I do I keep it tight......... Stay dirty my friends.
 
Negative on interférence between the suspension and the rock sliders according to the garage where my jeep is.. ( I'm 17hours delayed with them) but called them up and asked, said they had no issues!, your good. oh yeah... don't freak when you notice the front upper joints are made to be installed vertically and not horizontal.. I even called evo mfg to make sure i had the right brackets.. lol
 
I have the double d 4" w/ billstien on my 14. Been on since January. I was going to bolt it on until I realized it would take way longer to do the install. Welding is quicker and stronger IMO. It took me a while to cut and grind the frame. Also took time to get the front control arm brackets to suck up to the tranny cross member. The rest of the install was a breeze.

One thing is I wish I wouldn't have welded the rear because I've decided I will go with evo lever and high clearance brackets. Probably next spring. It will probably take a lot more time having to cut and grind the rear double d brackets off. Still not a big deal.

The kit is nice. Rides and drives great.

I've run mine for the past year. The only thing I would change is go to Double throw down and evo lever kit (just my opinion). It really depends on what you do with your rig. I love the ride, haven't had any issues!!! Wasn't that hard to put on and put my rig in a different class!
