35s with no lift

New to WAL! Slowly building my 2010 JKU and just put 35x12.50R17 toyo mts on it. I love the low and wide look it has after I cut the stock fenders down. Yes I plan to lift it but being employed by the military that will take awhile. I wanted to see who else has this setup because personally I think it looks mean!ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1462434478.888185.jpg

Welcome to WAL! Looks awesome

No rubbing? Did you use spacers?

Looks like procomp steel wheels too me. 4.5" backspacing

I'm running 35s on a EVO Leveling kit, and 1.5" spacers. I suggest bump stop extensions after eating up my fenders on this last trip. Sweet looking rig though man! [emoji481]

I ran the leveling kit on my 4 door. Cut your fenders and use hockey pucks as bumpstops [emoji106]🏻 no more rubbing

Thank you! And yea I thought about getting some extensions but I'm currently deployed so right now the wife just picks between her lifted xj and mine on which to drive to work[emoji23]

Here is my sons JKR on 35s with fenders cut only

Here it is with 1.5" of lift from JKUR coil springs. We also plastidipped the rims black.

Rubbed a LOT before the unlimited springs. Only rubs a little now.

Looks good! I like the black wheels.

Much better after plastidipping.
Was a cheap build since I found the wheels/tires on CL for $400, springs for $80 from a WAL member and free to cut the fenders.

Wow, you can't beat that, that's awesome!

That looks great! Instead of going for fenders with full coverage for 35s, I may try something like this and just trim them to cover the stock wheels and tires and do a leveling kit. Then I'll just swap over to the stock wheels and tires for inspection and run the 35s with stock trimmed flares the rest of the year lol.

no lift with Bushwackers

I also have 35s with no lift. I plan to lift her in the future but for now its not in the budget. I have only done mild off-roading with no rubbing so far. I love the look and how stable she is but I also love being a little higher, so eventually she will grow.
