33 inch tires on stock height JK

I was wondering if anyone has 33 inch tires with 16 inch wheels on their 2 door. I have heard 31s are the biggest you can go with no lift but I am curious if 33s would rub.

You can run 35's with no lift if you are willing to trim the fenders. We ran my wife's like that for a while. Very minor rubbing while wheeling.

295/70/17 with no lift stock fenders.
No rubbing at all driving around town. Haven't flexed it out yet though

I just ran the roads, before a lift, but I suspect, if you are going to off road it, you need at least a leveling kit, or cut your fenders. Otherwise it may rub them.

Really look into your decision of 16 inch wheels. Some aftermarket parts such as brakes can have clearance issues on 16 inch wheels. FYI

Just for quick reference I just installed a set of 4dr rubi Springs and shocks on my 2dr with 295/70/17s and this is how it sits now. Gave me about 1.5" lift and cheaper alternative to buying a full kit

Added 2" bump stops in the rear adjusted steering stops and trimmed ALOT front and rear

My first setup. Stock height, cut fenders and 35" Nitto TG's. Stock bumper rubbed and I had to clearance my Rubicon rails.

JKUS with 33/12/15s Mickey Thompson MTZs on 15" Procomp Rims.

No lift, no spacers. No rubbing, no issues, but didn't do much for off roading after I had them.
