ldjernes New member May 7, 2016 #1 Hey guys I'm replacing the axle shaft in my jeep and I was under the impression that my rear axle was a 44 but someone told me they put 35s in the rear end in some of them , is there a way I can tell if it's a 35 or a 44. Thanks

swampdog New member May 7, 2016 #3 My guess is they are referring to a 35 spline shaft in your Dana 44, but ALL JKs have a Dana 44 rear.

Ctimrun Member May 7, 2016 #6 I could be wrong but I believe I remember on the early JK's, unless it had the "towing package" or was a Rubicon it came with the 35 not the 44.
