1410 Rear Driveshaft

I’ve built a few LS swaps with DTD suspensions and 1350 front and rear shafts. No issues at all. Is 1410 necessary? I don’t think so. When you start racing it at KOH maybe. Then again, if you have the money for it you might as well do it.

Not worried about saving the money, just don’t know how much I really have to worry about the 1350 hitting the t-case or transmission. Motech claims that there can be clearance issues at full articulation but I’m not sure I will be able to flex that much with 40’s anyway. I figured out the rear, just worried about the front being undersized for the power of the V8 and the weight of 40’s. Wondering what others have done.

I don’t know anyone that has 60’s with a 1310 shaft front or rear. It’s retarded.

Thanks Bubba. Robbie seemed pretty adamant about going the 1310 route in the front. I’d rather go 1350 but I’d essentially be saying “thanks for the recommendation but I’m not listening to you”. I guess I’d just be taking my chances with it hitting but since you are saying you haven’t see clearance issues, I think I’ll take my chances.

The guy builds motors not Jeeps. You have to have some doubts or you wouldn’t come here asking for opinions.

It’s your Jeep, build it the way you want it built. Robbie is a good guy but he’s super conservative in his approach to things. You’ll be just fine with the 1350.

1350 should not be a clearance issue...I did have a slight rubbing issue with a 1410 front ds on my JK6 on the tub, but we made a mini tunnel for it
