12' Gecko Build

You’ll never want another tire after the Nittos.
The cooper's have done pretty good for me but I understand others haven't had recent success with them. My set was bought quite a while ago though. I don't have any complaints per say but I am looking forward to trying something new. I've had 2 sets each of BFG KM2s, duratracs, and STT Pros so adding Nitto to the list finally

I ran the Nitto Trail Grapplers about 10 years back. I loved them and hated them. The tire compound at the time wasn't to my liking, much too hard. At least that's what I deducted. Perhaps i got the wrong load rating for my Jeep? I didn't know much about tires then, still don't but I know there are different load ratings now, LOL. I ended up getting more than 75k miles on them! I'm not sure that's supposed to happen. LOL

A few guys in my Jeep club are running them now in 38's and they are AMAZING! They hook up very very well on the trail and the compound just feels so much softer than my original ones. Now I want a new pair in 37's :)

You're going to love them, no doubt.

must have been sketchy AF jacking it up to get in on those stands
It's not too bad actually. With everything still connected getting the frame ones set up with weight on the springs then when you droop the axle it just sits on the frame ones.
Nothing different than changing coils out really.
Little unnerving for the times I have to be fully under it to reach something but I've done the tried and true shake test probably 50 times and it's solid.
Those really tall ones on the front and rear give me a lot more piece of mind. Wish I had 2 more but damn they are expensive

Looks great!

Do you still have that 4 door wrangler?
Thanks man. Unfortunately not, life kinda got in the way of keeping both when we left ND to move down to albuquerque.

I think you need a few more jack stands.... lol
After having to crawl fully under that thing with no axles i feel like I still don't have enough holding it up. Just trying to pretend it's not sketchy

I feel you. I stuff my tires under the Jeep as well as the jack stands, and I still get nervous being under there.
