Typically, I find that people say the stupidest things on the interweb. There's a reason why oil weights have gotten lighter over the years and a big part of it is that engine and oil technology has gotten better. A lighter weight oil means less internal engine friction and that means better fuel economy. Sticking with what Jeep recommends is always gonna be your best bet.yup aggreed - was just reading things on the interwebs and thought I would ask the group.
Stick with the recomended. It's all calculated for clearances and oriface openings, lifter operation and the control valves in a lot of engines. Use the wrong oil and you could have issues.So Im gonna start changing my oil again at home-
with the 3.6 ( 2019) is there any long term benefit to running 5W30 vs 0W-20 ?
