1/4 inch is more then strong enough as long as you used good steel most manufacturers use 3/16. As for the winch box, I can only say what I had to do with the winch plate I mounted. It connects to the frame inner part of the rails along the sides. This is where the weight bearing transfers from...
I think we have all heard the statement "Jack of all trades, Master of none!"
I carry my boy in the back and could just see him getting smacked by a flapping glass window. Would never get him in the Jeep again and it's his favorite place!
Not sure this will help but....
I remove the horn and took off the mounting bracket and reattached the bracket backwards so that the horn could be mounted at an angle. I attached it to the ARB mount but there are several places to fasten it securely.

Thank you Hard Rock and Wayalife for this opportunity!
Oh yeah... Well here ya go!!!
Thank you for the laughs and a great year in the Wayalife community! Merry Christmas from Kosovo to Eddie, Cindy, and all the rest of you jeep oriented people out there!

I have a NIB Switch Pros system for sale. I have opened the box to see it but have never had the desire to replace what I have already installed.
I paid $479 +35 shipping.
I will let it go for $435 and buyer pays actual shipping USPS (I am at an APO).
Anyone at an APO that wants this...
