Pro's and Cons of Axle width and Diff placement

In ordering new 1-ton axles I have some choices to make. I am looking for input about width WMS and which side to put the diff on or to put it in the center. I kind of like the diff sitting underneath me as the driver but I'm open to hear arguments to put it on passenger side. As for width, I am...

Favorite Ball Joints and U-Joints for JT please?

Ordering the Spicer 5-7166X if they can be had. This axle has to last me 9 to 10 weeks. I am ordering big boy axles in the next couple of days. They all have 8 to 9 weeks lead time. Would like to buy USA made. Deciding between Fusion 4x4 and Crane Axle Co. My plan is actually to go with a King...

    SHOCKS???

I forgot to mention. My lift and shocks have a downside. I drive way faster than I'm supposed to on dirt roads and gravel mountain roads. Probably too fast on highway too. I need to slow down

    SHOCKS???

I'm running adjustable King 2.5 shocks that came with the EVO Enforcer 4+, 4.5" lift. I got it all as a kit through ORE. I cannot tell you how happy I am with my Rigs ability off-road and on Highway it's rock solid, or at least it became rock solid. I had the steering box issue, which I replaced...

Tough day yesterday, sheared knuckle driver side on tough mountain recovery

I will buy these from you as well. I'm doing chromoly shafts but there might be some lead time and I'm trying to get back into the game asap. I have become a complete recovery nerd and am addicted to doing offroad recovery. For me, it's like wheeling with a purpose.

Wayalife is a treasure trove of information! I really don't understand why everyone with a Jeep isn't in this forum. Why not stand on the shoulders of giants when you can? I have learned so much here and my rig is 100x better for being here. Thank you @wayoflife for providing this valuable...

Tough day yesterday, sheared knuckle driver side on tough mountain recovery

I had chosen them because I saw you ran them in videos. I will change my plan to chromoly shafts. I am told there is a Gear and shaft shop on Glendale here in Reno that does great things. I do volunteer off-road recovery almost everyday with 775ofr.org and I need to make my rig as solid as...

I think the Long term solution to fixing my JTR is Rock Jock High Steer Knuckles, RCV axle shafts, and Dynatrac HD Rebuildable Ball Joints. They can have these parts to me by June. Thoughts? The short-term solution is that I know of a JTR that a kid tried to do Dukes of Hazzard style jump and...

Oddly enough the Right is in stock, but the left is what everyone is out of stock. I wonder if this means the left breaks far more than the right?
