As others have said the Mopar is a great lift for your type of driving and works well with 35's. I ran 35" KO2's on Mopar Off Road 17"x8.5" wheels with 5.22" backspacing on the Mopar lift for a good year and that combo worked great both on and off road! The Mopar kits are underrated by many, but with a just few other aftermarket goodies (adjustable track bar, at least adjustable lower front control arms) they are really hard to beat if you are just running 35's. My JLR with a modified Mopar lift rode and handled great on road and did very well...

When you install a lift the track bar and drag link angles will change somewhat due to their different lengths and different mounting points. However many things can affect bump steer including larger & heavier tires, out of balance/out of round tires, loose/worn suspension components, alignment...

I would love a factory Hemi in a JL, as long as that JL is a 2-door! Unfortunately a snowstorm is Hell is more likely than a V8 JLR from the factory...It is likely however the mid model refresh will feature a turbo inline 6 which should at least offer a performance upgrade over current JLR...

When you re-torque, be sure you are on a level floor, loosen all control arm / shock bolts first and bounce bumpers up and down to settle suspension. You do not have to remove the rear wheels to torque rear UCA but you will have to remove or slide out of the way the rear axle mounted bump stop...
