In the market for a Rubicon

I need a second job. Maybe someone needs a bank robber or stickup man.

In the market for a Rubicon

I’m going with a 2019 JLU Rubicon. I found one, and pulled the trigger on it. I’ll have it Wednesday when I pick it up.

In the market for a Rubicon

I wouldn’t mind a Gladiator as a second car for me, but it isn’t in the budget.

In the market for a Rubicon

    And, I know… I’m not a NOOB here after 9 years. But I forget to post. 😕

No real updates on the Scrambler. Starting a new business two years ago has eaten up a lot of my time. I also initially took a hit to the income, but that’s making its way back up closer to what I was making. I am hoping to get started. I’ve picked up two new welding machines, and will be...

In the market for a Rubicon

I should note that I’ll be looking for a used one. The crazy price jumps from Jeep the past few years just aren’t warranted, imo. I’ve already started finding some for good prices in and near Philadelphia, but I can’t pull the trigger until I get the settlement for my car.

In the market for a Rubicon

I finally gave up my TJ a year and a half ago to one of my kids so I could temporarily downsize some bills, as I started my business and he needed wheels. I also own a project CJ-8, that isn’t in running condition, yet. So I have been driving a boring Ford Fusion. A couple of weeks ago I was...

    Scrambled build thread

So, first assessment of the body… East Coast salt did wonders with the body modifications. The front is relatively intact, but the body in the rear needs a lot of work. So, I’m pricing out replacement parts, or a whole tub, and figuring it out. I’m still surprised at how the frame wasn’t...

    Scrambled build thread

One thing about this build is I expect it to be slow. It’s still not at my house, and if I do get it here, I have to find a place to work on it (I live in the inner city and don’t have a garage)

    Scrambled build thread

I posted this in my return Jeep Wave thread. Right now, I’ll be going through fluids, looking for leaks, and getting her ready to move under her own power. Basically, because Scrambled has sat for a long time, I’ll likely throw some parts at her until I can get to a place to do a build. For the...

Thanks! I’ve always thought that the best advice I’ve gotten on Jeeps has come from this website. Eddie and Cindy have built a gem, not to mention the YouTube videos they put out.

    My Cj-7 is under construction

My prayers and sympathy go out to you and your family. I understand it, having grown up wrenching on cars with my dad, and the first part of my career being spent with him wrenching on industrial machinery in the Building Trades. God bless.

As I said, the bed has spots it was eaten away from the inside of the rear body panel, and the rear floor pan in the cab where the seat frames bolt in look like they’re in poor condition. I could cut the bed and rear panels out, and replace them, by TiG welding them (with a bunch of breaks...
