Cheap driveshaft?

Ive been looking at replacing the rear driveshaft with an aftermarket one and theres a few options. Should I go cheap with a rough country or spend a lot more or not bother upgrading it ever? Or does anyone have a good source on well priced driveshafts worth getting?

Yes I go offroad with it but nothing insane. Its a 2015 Jeep JKU with a 4in lift on 37 KO2.

The factory rear driveshaft is pretty stout. I would see if you have a local mom and pop driveshaft shop near by. They could make you one around the same price or cheaper than the rough country shaft.

If you want to order one tho I would look at JE reel. More money but great quality.

I have to agree with cozdude ^^^ Nothing wrong with the factory rear shaft on a JKU. If yours is bent or dented from the rocks, look for a local shop and have them make a replacement u-joint style shaft for you. More times than not, it'll be cheaper and you can have them make it with components you want like 1350 Neapco joints.

I bought an Adams driveshaft for my Rubicon and I'm very happy with it. It has a good warranty. Trouble is, to have any work done under warranty means shipping it to Adams and back. Have a good local shop build your driveshaft

If you have a local shop im sure they could do the work for you if need be. Thats what I did with my JE Reel 1310 when I blew it up. Local shop fixed it good as new.

That’s true. However, having another shop work on the driveshaft will likely void the warranty

Not sure exactly what they would be warranting. Having personally shipped drive shafts o would rather pay locally than pay for shipping and deal with the hassle.
