It’s even deeper when I think about the fact that in my MOS we maintained DRAGON, TOW2, and Javelin missile systems, actually all Ordnance Fire Control systems, and the year I retired (2003) the Marine Corps paid me a whopping $32,000.
Moved on to do pretty much the same job Civil Service and made about twice that starting out, and it got better as I moved up the ladder.
Probably the only part of any of that that I would like to change is being forced out of my job two and a half years early by the Biden administration.
