ALL in the Name of SAVING the PLANET

Maybe, if this even gets reported in our state-run media, people will wake up to the fact that it’s not sustainable here.
State-run media doesn't report facts. Likely won't happen.

And the people in favor of green energy think they can make a difference by gluing their hand to the road or throwing tomato juice on paintings. Hard to reason with people like that.

There is an interesting difference in what Euro Greenies and American Greenies see as ‘sustainable’ energy. Euros include Hydro power into the ‘sustainable’ category where American Greenies hate hydro. It may seem like a small difference but hydro can be a good source of power and I’ve always wondered why the greenies hate it.
I'm assuming they hate it because the dams fill up valley/meadows and blocking fish from going upstream to spawn. Thats at least what I have heard some say. Sad part is there is organizations in CA right now that are in the process of tearing down dams to restore meadows. Doing the opposite of what we really need to do.

Fish > humans. Let’s weaken our country’s power and standing. Pisses ms off.

Tearing down the dams is a part of why no water was available for the recent fires.

spectactularly bad climate predictions I had to grow up listening to in the 70's

On our drive down south, we saw a lot of this bullshit of tearing up the desert going on.

Did some research and found that it's part of the Greenlink project. Apparently, in addition to tying Reno, Ely and Vegas together (something that's never been needed in the past), it's supposed to help make this shit possible.

"Construction of Greenlink North is planned for early 2027. The new transmission lines from both projects could open vast swaths of remote land in rural Nevada for renewable energy production since those projects would have a way to add power to the energy grid from the multiple new substations that are scheduled for construction.

Greenlink West, for instance, includes new substations in Nye, Esmeralda and Lander counties that are expected to make potential renewable energy projects more feasible in those remote areas. Lateef likened the new substations as on- and off-ramps to the state’s new energy highway."

Of course, this in spite of locals not being happy about any of it but hey, screw them right?

If there is any hope in minimizing this bullshit, it will be the orange man bad...

"But the project’s ultimate fate may depend on President-elect Donald Trump’s intention to carry out the solar transition, an outcome that has concerned environmental groups."

the failures of these projects keep surfacing but as long as there are taxpayer dollars being given away to waste on this, they'll keep doing it.
