Well I've never explored Kansas except for the Wizard of Oz museum. Lol. I'm looking forward to some desert wheel'n. Lol. Rattlesnakes and gold mines. Lol
definitely don't go thru Kansas, on a trip years ago we checked in and an hour later the manager called us and told us we may want to check out and drive away from the tornado expected later that night. They refunded our money but it sucked having to drive all night to get away from it, also didn't stop in Oklahoma and drove straight thru to get home. Now there is suppose to be some super storm coming across the US.Its gonna be interesting
Yeah I'll be taking the southern route. I see there is wind warnings in New Mexico. Hopefully they are gone by the time I get there. I'm not trying to fight tornados all the way eastdefinitely don't go thru Kansas, on a trip years ago we checked in and an hour later the manager called us and told us we may want to check out and drive away from the hurricane expected later that night. Tired as hell but the adrenaline rush kept me going. I was married at the time wife, daughter who was only 3... they both slept like a rock but would wake the wife to take short spells driving
you caught it - yep, tornado alley
you caught it - yep, tornado alley or are they drones?
winds thru NM are always there... just be on the wind side of the semi-truck trailer or RV; sure, being on the inside out of the wind is nice but... sometimes the gusts are strong enough to tip it over and you don't want to be relaxed not fighting the wind and wondering where that huge shadow suddenly came from.Yeah I'll be taking the southern route. I have seen 13 MPG a couple of times in my 2-door. Without the head wind it would be a minimum of 18. Head winds really suck!Just be safe and in the wind, refuel often and don't be alarmed if your mileage drops to single digits
