Cross country trip

Now there is suppose to be some super storm coming across the US. 🤦 Its gonna be interesting
definitely don't go thru Kansas, on a trip years ago we checked in and an hour later the manager called us and told us we may want to check out and drive away from the tornado expected later that night. They refunded our money but it sucked having to drive all night to get away from it, also didn't stop in Oklahoma and drove straight thru to get home.

Tired as hell but the adrenaline rush kept me going. I was married at the time wife, daughter who was only 3... they both slept like a rock but would wake the wife to take short spells driving

Yeah I'll be taking the southern route. I see there is wind warnings in New Mexico. Hopefully they are gone by the time I get there. I'm not trying to fight tornados all the way east

you caught it - yep, tornado alley or are they drones?

On our way home from our first Moab trip we got caught in a race against a huge storm front coming down at us from on a diagonal and we couldn't outrun that mother. kept switching to local stations and all the warnings were blaring. We finally broke away after a couple hours and I've hated that fucking state since

winds thru NM are always there... just be on the wind side of the semi-truck trailer or RV; sure, being on the inside out of the wind is nice but... sometimes the gusts are strong enough to tip it over and you don't want to be relaxed not fighting the wind and wondering where that huge shadow suddenly came from.

Just be safe and in the wind, refuel often and don't be alarmed if your mileage drops to single digits
