The bump stops are there to protect your shocks from bottoming out, or springs being over-compressed, without knocking your teeth out. If your springs are longer with the JKS springs, then there should be more travel before harm is done.

For people concerned about rising oil prices in the USA, this chart from Wikipedia should make it clear how little we now depend on middle-eastern oil imports. We do import a lot of oil, but it is mostly from Canada.

China does depend on Iranian oil.
