Once again I said he could have purchased a Dynatrac housing. You know just as well as I, that there are better, more efficient/cost effective ways to do things rather than buy a fully set up bolt in piece.

Ill have to look back, but I don't believe I ever said stock was better. I did say that my junk yard axles were holding up fine, but never said better.

What do your junkyard axles have to do with the issues this guy is having with 4wp? Absolutely nothing. We get it, you're a badass, can weld and set up axles and are cool. Thanks for sharing.
 
^^^That's what I'm gonna do when the new Jeep JL comes out. Gonna get some Dana 60's from a 1987 Ford F250 and a 1977 Chevy 350 Big Block (carbureted) watch some YouTube video's on how to weld, buy a Harbor Freight welder and make a bad ass rig. That way I can be a badass and not feel bad about bragging about it.
 
You know, being that we are all part of the jeep community which generally is regarded as one of the friendlier communities, i find it sad how some people can act like complete douchebags towards one another sometimes! I mean jeepers wave to one another, they help each other install things and lend a hand when its needed on the trail. The forums can be a different story entirely. I think people forget sometimes that a lot of context is often lost or misunderstood when "reading" statements made by individuals online rather then having face to face conversation! The other variable is not everyone has the ability to perfectly convey their thoughts while writing them down for others to see. Not everyone is a Hemingway yet others can be so quick to judge and ridicule instead of just lending a simple helping hand. This doesn't necessarily apply to this particular post or even this particular jeep forum. Just a general observation.

Take it for what its worth, but we are all a part of the same species and as such, let's just have a little respect for one another!

So why are you even posting on this thread if it doesn't apply to this post? If you get butt hurt over a simple post from some WAL members grow some thicker skin, or find yourself a different forum that will cater to your fragile feelings.

I don't recall saying that I was feeling "butt hurt" about anything. I've worked at a car dealership for 20+ years so I can assure you that my skin Is pretty damn thick. After reading through this thread, other threads and other forums, I felt the need to make a generalized statement about our humanity and the need for people to be uncivil and hostile towards one another over basically nothing. Your post just further illustrates my point.

Ahhh so your just here to preach peace, love, and harmony? It doesn't matter if another WAL member is trying to help the OP. If someone chimes in it's better to get junk axles and built it themselves because (he's bad ass and knows how to set gears and weld) we are just here to accept that instead of helping the OP.
