The Weather Thread

All of the Houston area school districts preemptively to closed Monday. Probably for the best. Our aerial spaghetti bowl freeways don’t do well with ice.

Far cry from when I grew up out west of Houston in Katy. They wouldn’t close for anything short of a nuclear blast and even that would have been a school by school basis. :ROFLMAO:

I was a freshman in high school and we had a hurricane blowing through. They refused to cancel school. Go to school and the wind and rain is lashing us on the bus. School starts at 7:25. By 8 am the power was out on the freshman wing. They sat us in the hallways for a couple of hours until a full day was registered according to the attendance measures in place then closed.
