Went to the post office to drop off a pre-paid package and because of it's size, I had to take it to the counter inside. In the past, there's been a sign on the counter saying where you can leave it but on this day, there wasn't and so I stood in front of it for moment looking to see if I missed it or if maybe it moved. As I stood there, the one lady in line (this is Boulder City and it's a small post office with nobody ever there) started to have a hissy fit and so I turned to her, explained that I wasn't trying to cut in line and that I was just looking for where I needed to drop off my package. To this, she threw out her hand which was holding a claim receipt and said, "well I'm just waiting in line to pick something up!" I then apologized and calmly let her know that my package was pre-paid and how I didn't need to talk to anyone and that I just needed to located where on the counter I was supposed to leave it, you know, because the sign that used say as much was missing. She responded that she was just having "an irritable day!" Not wanting to make things worse, I just placed my package where I normally do, apologized to the lady again and said that I hoped the rest of her day wouldn't be so irritable and left. Of course, she just rolled her eyes in a huff as it was her turn next and walked up to the window.
I have to say, it really is a bummer Karen's have to lose their shit over a whole lot of nothing, are unwilling to accept an apology and in this particular case, drives a Jeep LOL. Yep, as we were leaving, I started telling Cindy about what happened and as I was, she asked, "you mean that lady getting into that Gladiator?"
