From people with more knowledge than I have about Glocks, the design change eliminates the ability to convert it into a full auto with the Glock switch
Yeah.. other than the CA ban... they are dealing with multiple lawsuits. I already picked up another G19. Who knows when CA will have Glocks again. I figure They will either modify the Gen 3's (I doubt it) or we will be waiting for the Gen 6 Here.

Read that in the above article, maybe the V will add a couple more grip serrations and call it a day 😂

What is actually different between each gen? Lol

Dang had to look this up, I was unaware. Totally blows. Love my Gen 5 though aside from the trigger.

Any recs on that? My buddy has a CMC one I really like.

The V is only because of the switch.. and they will modify Gen 5 (hence the "V")... I don't think this is a product update... That will come with Gen 6. I could be wrong though.

Not sure what you are saying here...

Gotcha. Now that I’m aware of the striker fire ban I am up to speed.

Sorry, Glock trigger recommendations. Something lighter to take out the slop.
Not really a "striker fired ban". Only Glocks (and Glock clones) because of the cruciform (looks like a cross) trigger bar... in simple terms it's easy to install a switch with their design.

I don't mess with aftermarket triggers... especially on carry guns. Glock does have drop in options though... you could try their performance trigger or simply swap in a lighter connector. Factory is 5.5lb / they also sell a (-) 4.5 or an (+) 8lb. Aftermarket you can get a 3lb. Personally I like the 5.5 or even the 8lb on a carry gun. Last thing you need is a hair trigger under stress.

Really good point. Would definitely just be on a range gun. I’d like to pickup a Hellcat Pro for carry when I can.
For range.. go for it... There are a few out there.. I just don't have experience with any to comment on it. Best trigger ever is a 1911, and the Glock trigger still has never bothered me even compared to that.

Hellcat Pro is a great gun. Comfortable size for Carry.. Similar to the G43X, G48 or P365 Macro etc. I'd say the Hellcat triggers or a little heavier than the Stock Glock... probably like 6 - 7lb... which I like.

I've got a couple with 4lb triggers that I only use at the range and also won't let many others use.
My gun range buddy tried it and he fired off a 2nd round during the kick, they are pretty sensitive.
I've considered changing it out but I like how it actually helps me clear my mind and focus only on the shooting.
