Uconnect error on day 2?

Is this to be expected?

I enjoyed the xm radio all day. Setup the tent and went to move the jeep. This screen pops up on start. I close it, and get a welcome from xm radio saying my 90 day trial started. But zero stations work, and it shows no signal. Not even the preview channel with the radio ID would play.

I found on the interwebs, to have a good ATT signal and clear view of the sky and restart a few times... In the middle of nowhere, full 5G ATT signal and nothing around the Jeep. Nothing so far.

WTF Jeep? I can't see a dealer until Tuesday at the earliest.

At least android auto works so I don't have any music while driving.

look thru the menu for the XM options, I think I had to take mine off demo after it reset itself after an update

Seems like a Jeep GPS malfunction. GPS uses satellite, just like XM radio. They may share the same antenna.

mine would stop working on a clear day while in route, the entire radio would stop working, sometimes the GPS would want me to make a u-turn all the way to my destination, start again with the same shit the next morning; usually had to check multiple times for updates then disconnect all batteries when that failed.
shitty system

XM radio works fine for me, given the little time I use it. The Garmin is vastly better than the built in GPS. Somehow Garmin has an advisory that US-60 is closed in the west-bound direction for the past few months and wants to add 3 hours to the route (at almost the last moment) to take highway 40 instead (and won't take 'no' for an answer. While trying to understand the problem I saw these interesting route proposals to get to Datil (which was where I was already at). This stupidly causes one to distrust navigation systems:

Take it back to the dealer. Sometimes a simple software update that they may perform will solve the issue. Had this happen on plenty of GM vehicles when I worked there.

Dropped it off this morning for eval.

The service advisor, with a straight face said "it should be covered under warranty unless something ate the wires"

Um, I picked it up Thursday, parked in a garage that night, then drove to Utah. If a critter ate the wires, it was not at my place or on the drive. It was from sitting at your lot or the dealers lot it came from.

Keep an eye on that, we have a rodent problem at my dealer for sure.
