Once you taste how good your home grown stuff tastes you won't want to buy from the store. Like Ovie said - making your own salsa/Pico is the single thing I enjoy the most out of the garden. Roma tomatoes are really good for that - not as watery. Just do a small one - see what's worth it for you

Nothing beats a fresh off the vine beef steak tomato! Makes the best tomato sandwiches. 🤤
 
How long does it take for garlic to grow to the point where you can use it ?
It’s needs to be cold for a certain length of time, about 2 months, in order for them to allow bulbs to grow. They are typically planted in fall and harvested in spring to early summer. Ones the first leaves start falling and dying back it’s ready. We planted in November and will harvest end of next month.

You can trick it by putting the cloves in your fridge for two months if needed.
