Lift Kit Suggestion

Hello everyone. Right now I have my eyes on a Clayton off-road 1.5 ride right lift kit. If I go this route, what shocks do you guys recommend I go with? I have a sport s. Just plan on running 33s and want to be able to do BOH trails potentially.

Alternatively, if you think I should go with a different kit, happy to hear the suggestions. I’m pretty set on a suspension lift versus just adding spacers. Thanks in advance!

Thank you all for the advise! For now, I think I am going to go with a 2.5" lift. I do not see myself going to 37's. I am thinking of going with the Teraflex 2.50-Inch Coil Spring Base Suspension Lift Kit or would it be better to spend a little more and get Teraflex 2.50-Inch Sport S/T2 Suspension Lift Kit? I did not know if the front lower control arms could wait and I could buy them down the road since I would only take it offroad 2-3 days a month at most. The rest of the time it would be my daily driver. I have read that Rough Country lifts are not as good and I should stay away from them. Do yall agree with that?
For just 2.5" of lift, you don't really "need" front lower control arms and really, if you're going to add a set, you really want them to be adjustable. The whole point of installing them at all is to allow you to add more positive caster after lifting your Jeep. However, with such little lift, most people feel no need to do this at all. Me personally, I would just install the lift and IF you decide you need more caster after the fact, buy adjustable arms at that time.

That said, I have to agree with OverlanderJK, I personally would not recommend Teraflex and based on my experiences running their products in the past. I would also disagree that Rough Country is "not as good" and really, I'd need for someone to explain what that even means. Again, from experience, they make some good products but when it comes to lift kits, they tend to be not as complete as others and the overall parts are on the simple side. If budget is a concern as it sounds like it is, I personally would recommend something like this.

Thank you for explaining what the purpose is for the lower control arms. I am learning as I go and I appreciate you both explaining everything!

Another to look at is the Dynatrac Endurosport kits. I threw a 2" kit on my 2019 Rubicon and run 37's on it. I added Quake LED turn signals
and deleted the fender liners. With this combo my daughter has run as hard of trails that you'll find anywhere short of the buggy stuff. I only made her take bypasses on a couple obstacles over the years but looking back she could have made them as well.

If you're only looking to go to 35's you'll do fine with the 2-2.5" lifts. If I had to do it over I'd still do the Dynatrac kit or the Rough Country kit.
Don't get too caught up in over analyzing - you'll be amazed at what these things can do even in stock form.

Thank you for your insight. I am really new to all of this, so I am trying to learn from others before I make my final decision

Yup, the Dynatrac Endurosport kit is a bit more expensive but a good option too.
