Texas 79 CJ7 Build

Hey Jeep Brothers and Sisters. Here's the latest update and a request for some help.

Today we got the chrome headers on and the Clifford 6 to 8 intake with the twin 2bbl carbs installed. Love how it's looking and I'm pretty excited.

The challenge is that with the 4.2 to 4.0 head conversion we did, the #0630 head is taller and two of the original 4.2 rear ps bracket holes don't line up. I know the conversion is common and there's a lot of talk about this issue but there's nothing really prominent out there about the solution. I need to know how to modify the bracket or find a rear 4.0 ps bracket that will fit.

Let me know your thoughts and if you know a solution for the bracket I'd be grateful.
I’m looking forward to seeing this one finished. Love the detail on the motor

Goooooooood mornin' Jeepers.. This past weekend was a great milestone for the build. Brought home the tub, fenders, and hood from the painter.. while he works to finish the roll bar, both sets of doors, dash panel, mirrors, and other odds and ends, we'll start getting him put together...

Walking past it this morning to head out to work, it was pretty hard to contain myself. He's starting to look like a jeep again.. Lord knows, I can't get him put together fast enough now..

That is quite a motor! Especially the carburetion system!

Thanks. Just heard from my step son, the dual 2bl carb set up is causing an issue with room for the single power brake booster I bought. It's already shorter than the dual boosters so not sure what I'm going to do...looking for suggestions

Hydro boost ?

Hydro boost ?
Yes, Converted the rear drums to disk. Figured should add the power brake booster to help with the slightly larger tires. 32x11.5x15.

Just heard back from another source. Said it's the oem height motor mounts. Told me the 1" to 2" motor mounts are too short. Said I need to go to 3" to 4". I'll have to hold off on that until we get the hood on, etc to make sure I have the clearance I guess.
