Just saw this thread but I am looking for a place to cut down my own tree this year but it's beginning to look like a tree farm is it.

We gave up on the forest permit. They only allow cutting in certain areas on certain dates. They're over an hour away and have been picked through like crazy. Not worth it. There are several farms here though that let you cut your own opposed to ones that have already been cut for sale. You may be able to find one like that in your area.
