Hello Everyone

I am driving a JLU 4xe Sahara MY22 (registered 2023). For some reason I don’t have any usual failures nevertheless it seems that several suspension components like steering box, steering shaft, ball joints failed at 5000 miles with no off road driving. During the replacement of the above parts all 4 shocks found to be leaking.
By observing the part numbers (shocks) found that the factory had installed wrong shocks for the model.
Had to wait for 4 months for replacement new shocks arrived with correct numbers on the box kit and the same wrong part numbers for the shocks 🤪🤪🤪.
In fact found after additional search that both numbers was for rear side 😂😂😂.
The “wrong”numbers shock numbers are the following rear shock 68509414AB front shock 68509422AB (this is rear shock part number most likely).
does any of you have this shocks installed? On a 4xe Sahara stock ?

I Use this dealership for parts, https://www.stevewhiteparts.com/

I've found parts from them to be priced less than any of my local dealerships. Neither of those numbers are listed as a fit for a 2022 JLU 4xe Sahara, front nor rear.
Thank you for the message. This is a great point!
As per FCA the part numbers should be K68517629AB and 68546970AA for the shock KIT!!! That can be found easily. This means part number for the KIT!! one shock and 2 bolts and 2 nuts. Thus is not easy to verify the part numbers of the actual shocks…
It is likely several cars from new or even during warranty replacement to have wrong shocks for the revision of the car.
And here is the big question since I have seen several posts on blogs for leaking shocks…. Are these not good quality or we just have wrong shocks fitted?

that is the shock number, depending on which shock, normal duty or heavy duty, you're getting the bolts and nuts with it whether you want them or not.

you could also go with other brand shocks, Monroe, Bilstein, Rancho

This is how it used to be. Unfortunately now the supply only the kit part number. In Europe they are very strict with non Mopar parts for cars under warranty. Thus challenging…
