With everything bad comes something good!

Well as most have read I have my rig broken into early Friday morning. After looking on Craigslist for a new top or windows I came across these. I could not pass them up for the price they were asking.

Well I guess it could have been worse an if I dwell on it ill just get more mad. I do feel worse for Mike though because he lost more an didnt even know until I called him.

Was your SWR meter in the jeep when they broke into it? They took/left some random stuff didn't they? :thinking:
 
Yup it was in there an still there. They only took my gopro and food thermometer for work. Really random.

Although they did find the car charger for my spotlight that I have been looking for for a few months. Must have been hidden somewhere.

They got my gopro remote for your gopro, but the backpack was at my house so f*ck them.

Oh and if anyone sees a pair of brand new black prescription oakley sunglasses for sale let me know. In the meantime I hope they go blind wearing them.

It was seeing that Starbucks cap on your tire. I remembered driving the day before with Mike and he had that. I said you better call him up and have him check again. The whole thing Fn sucks.

Like you said, what can be accomplished by being overly pissed at this point. Shit happens and I believe what goes around comes around.

Yeah, everything that was left was black and it was sitting on the floor board of the passenger side. It was so dark when I left I didn't notice anything until you called. Plus my jeep was a mess after throwing everything in after putting the spare in the back. It was the use of the ARB tool that made me actually stop and look around.

Went to wash the jeep today and realized they stole my bag of quarters for the car wash too.

On the bright side for me...my jeep is completely cleaned out on the inside now. Nothing left to steal. :thumb: :cheesy:

The thieves will get what's coming to them. The items they got will only fuel a few more hits of their preferred dope. We will be Jeepers and brothers forever. Glad to see you guys have great attitudes.

Overlander, glad to see you got some rails. Mind as well chop them down now while they aren't installed. I still have to take mine off to chop and trim!
 
Sucks to hear what happened but glad you found some rails. They make the mind more at ease when sitting next to a rock. :yup:

Probably chop them today along with the pinch seams.
 
Anybody know the sizes of the mounting hardware? It didn't come with any.

(for those that will get the reference, is it 14mm or should I change to 9/16th's? :cheesy:)
 
I think Doug (trail bud) said it best. People suck. Really sorry to hear a out what happened. It just sucks when some scum bag takes what you work so hard for.

Happy to hear you found some stuff for a reasonable price.
