Who is running a Decked System, would you do it again?

I am thinking of running a decked system in my JT. I like the concept and organization. Is it worth the loss of space and weight to gain the drawers?

Gov X has some discounts on Decked products, including the unit for a JT. Currently listed at 15% off. That doesn't guarantee lowest price so look around but sometimes I've found they can save you a chunk of change. Not sure if you meet the requirements to shop on Gov X, but if you do it's worth a look.

LOL - If I didn't own 2 other trucks that I use as a truck, I don't think I would have installed a Decked.

For my purposes, it’s great. There is some wasted space but if you plan well there are ways to utilize it. For me, not having to constantly load and unload all of my camping stuff and tools is a huge plus.

Can anyone attest to the water tightness of the system?…living in the PNW, I’d hate to pull out the drawers to find my gear sitting in puddles…

I've never had issues with water getting into things.

The only thing that will have issues with leaking is the ammo cans. It states that in the instructions, and to drill a couple small holes in the bottom of the cans for drainage. But so far I haven't seen any problems with the cans

I had decked in my RAM when I owned it. If I get another truck some day, I will get another decked again. The lack of bed height wasn’t really an issue for me. If needed something with depth then I’d use my trailer.

Just went through a down pour Just a little wet in the ammo cans, drawers are dry

I haven’t had issues with water in the drawers from rain, car washes, or snow melt.

I have a decked in my JT and I use it a lot. I like being able to organize stuff underneath that generally stays in the truck while using the top for adventure of the day gear. I have it inside an Alu-cab canopy so everything stays dry. I can’t comment on whether resistance of the decked by itself. I think it’s worth it.
