I've looked for these rails for over a year and a half. I needed a step for my 5'1" wife and young daughters. I wanted it made of 3/16" DOM steel tubing, and I wanted it welded on. These are the only ones I found at a price below $500. And they are tough!
I noticed almost all aftermarket rails are attached at either the pinch seam holes, and/or the pre-tapped mounting holes along the body rib; Or like the ACE rails, at the body mounts. I figured that eventually, if I own this Jeep forever, I'm going to hit it enough times and sit it on enough rocks that the weight of the frame, engine and drive train are going to crack a body mount or two. Plus these look pretty sharp.
My friend at Scott, at Scott Monks Racing in Hesperia, welded them on for me. I figured all he does all day is weld on car frames, so who better to take care of my Jeep.
