whats a commen JK problem

G'day fellow Jeep drivers I've just bought my first Jeep and have heard a lot of bad things about them but none the lease I like my jeep.

I would just like to know what Problems other people have had so I know what I'm getting into so I can buy some stronger parts
to help the life of my new jeep.

I don't think ill have to many problems as I don't drive off road with my foot flat to the floor over crazy terrain.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have a 2015 JK 4dr 3.6L v6 with the Manuel gear box

Thanks Jarrod i also live in Australia

It depends on the jeep some have had issues with the 3.6 and some haven't, I've had my water pump replaced and my dual stage oil pump, other than that I haven't had any other issues, if you plan on running big tire do c guessets to prevent the axle c bending

I dont know anything about the Pentastar, but im sure they have all the bugs worked out by now. C gussets are a good idea. Skids are a good idea.

The most common problem I know if is when people are removing their doors, they unhook the tether strap too soon and this allows the door to swing open too far. This causes the mirror to hit the cowl and put a dent in it  :D

Just drop it off at off road evolution and They will take care the rest.

Ha! Hilarious, and I thought this was a badge of honor. I have one on both sides to prove I actually take the doors off!

problem I'm dealing with is ordering parts and then not having time to install them!

My living room looks like UPS puked in it :cheesy:

but it's nice out today so I'm off to get stuff installed!

I always want to keep modifying my Jeep, I don't think its a problem but the wife sure does. Other than that I've been happy with my 08 minus a few self inflicted breaks.

The forums JK owners belong to! Actually wait. You live in Australia? Guess the most common problem is we drive on the wrong side of the road.

Hey what's up with all of the rigs running the antennas on the front of the rig?

Im not sure ive always put my antennas at the back but they think it helps with the range of it cause its not up the side of the vehicle... i cant tell the difference to be honest i put my in the back c as use i cant stand seeing the thing wave all over the place haha... yep i live in brisbane now but grow up in the outback

I did this the first time I took my doors off. Seriously don't think I've ever been so mad at myself.

Trail damage doesn't piss me off but me being a dumbass and denting my baby.... Ugh. So fail.

I bought my JKU used and both sides have this dent. It was a rental, too so I imagine the renters didn't have a clue on how to remove the doors properly. Oh well.

Putting too many miles on it quickly (wait I don't think this is a problem except too many of them are on the highway!)! Fail! Hoping this will be changing soon. :thumb:

I will make sure the strap is the last thing I undo.
