What gear ratio would you change to?

On my Gladiator Mojave I installed the AEV 2" puck lift and went with 35" Toyo AT3 tires. My current gear ratio is 4:11-1. The truck seems to handle the 35's fine. I just notice it needs a little more speed to get into 8th gear. Thinking about taking the truck up to Disciple and having the ratio changed to 4:56 but was wondering maybe I should just make the jump to 4:88? It doesn't seem like that big of a gap and I could run 37's in the future are my thoughts.

I drove my Rubi for 4 years on 4:10's and 35's, you really don't notice it.

Now I moved to 37's and yes I notice it. Waiting for Jeremy to get his Traveling Gear Swap Trailer to get mine done.....

I notice the 35s on mine (2-door JL Rubicon with 2.0 Turbo). Yes, it still does fine on the highway, but I notice that if I drive up a steep hill (maybe 6% grade) at 30 mph max, the transmission will choose an annoyingly high gear if I am not careful with throttle control.

If planning on driving on 35s for a long time, it is likely worth optimizing the gears.
