What Could Possibly Go Wrong?šŸ¤Ŗ

Thanks to the stupidness that the China Virus brought us, Nevada now has mail in ballots sent to everyone in the state, REGARDLESS if they wanted one or not. This as opposed to officially signing up for and requesting an "absentee ballot", as is an option in a lot of states, including California and one that I have personally utilized in the past, back when I lived in that state. Of course, sending ballots out to everyone and their mother could never lead to any shenanigans, right?

So, a few weeks back, Cindy and I got our mail in ballots, even though we always vote in person and today, we just got a new set. Apparently, there was some kind of typo or correction that needed to be made and now, we have in our possession, 2 sets of ballots. What could possibly go wrong? (y)

Fucking commies. That was no mistake.

I voted yesterday, in person, and they asked for ID. The way it should be.
We get to vote early and in person tomorrow. In our neck of the woods, they do check our signature and verify it against their existing records. This is of course, better than nothing but I have no idea what is done with all the mail in ballots.

In any case, there is a measure that made it to the ballot this year and it is for voter ID requirement in the future. I sure hope it passes.

They donā€™t automatically send them here as far as I know. I like to vote in person on Election Day when I can (most years). No need for early. Kind of dumb really. I think if you canā€™t vote election day then you should request the ballot. Thatā€™s how it used to be.

I like the early voting just because the line is so much shorter. I'm in and out in about 5 minutes. And early voting lasts a couple of weeks so you can go in on your schedule.

For the last 20 years, Cindy and I have always been at SEMA on election day and it is why we signed up for absentee ballots when we still lived in California. Since we've been in Nevada, we've been voting early and in person.

Unless I am going to be away for work I vote on Election Day and in person. My polling place is a little church in rural Virginia. I get there at 0545 and they open at 0600. The line usually has 10-20 individuals who look to be Tradesmen and small business owners. We stand in line and talk shit about the Gov.
I really enjoy it.
