What a Jeep JL Sounds Like With No Muffler

When we built CODE1, we hastily cut the muffler off in order to get access to the suspension and bumper bolts. After driving the Jeep in and out of the shop during the build, we found that we liked the sound of the Jeep Wrangler JL with the muffler removed. It has a nice performance sound without being too loud.

OK, I'll ask the dumb question.... Why would the JK sound different? It's the same engine..... Is it because of the CAT? Pipe Configuration?

It's not the same engine.

The upgraded pentastar has multistage lifters etc that will effect exhaust tone. Also different exhaust routing, resonators, etc

We haven’t noticed any drone in CODE1.
