For those of you who are joining us for the 2012 Moab Easter Jeep Safari and will be staying in one of our condos, this thread has been setup for you. In it, I will post important information and updates regarding our trip, condo assignments, meal coordination and anything else needed to ensure we'll have a good time. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them here so that everyone can benefit from the subsequent Q&A.
Caravan
If you're planning to caravan out to Moab with us, we will heading out to Las Vegas on Friday, March 30th and will be staying at the South Point Casino. If you would like to join us for some fun that night, you can book a room by clicking on the link below. Otherwise, we will meet you out in the parking lot on Saturday the 31st at 8:00 AM - PLEASE BE GASED UP AND READY TO ROLL:
South Point Casino
Condo Assignments
Please note that several of the units have 1 of the 3 bedrooms furnished with 2 twin or full size beds. Tony and Stephanie are bringing their daughter and have requested to have a master suite so that they could room her with them. Unless I hear from you with specific requests, these are the condos you will be assigned to and you will need to decide amongst yourselves as to who gets to sleep in what room.
Unit 1: Eddie & Cindy, Doug, Moochie
Unit 2: Chris & Jen, clarsen, Sharkey & MTG (only for a couple of nights)
Unit 3: Brian & Diane, Mituk & Casper, 08YELLO-RUBI
Unit 4: Don & Lori, Ray, Ken & Susan
Unit 5: Tony & Family, Steve, Dave & Laura
Meals
Unlike last year, we're going to make it so that each unit is responsible for only 1 dinner (Takeout or something like delivery pizza is fine). Breakfast and lunch will be up to you to decide. Please note that these meals are for condo residents ONLY so please DO NOT invite others to join UNLESS they are specifically contributing to the dinner in question and are aware that they need to provide for everyone. While guests are always welcome to join us, they need to come with their own food as we cannot ask condo residents to provide for them. I don't mean to sound so heartless here but, this was a real problem last year and I'm just trying to mitigate it before it becomes a problem again. Please discuss amongst yourselves and let me know what you will be cooking:
Sunday - Unit 1
Monday - Unit 5
Tuesday - Unit 2
Wednesday - Unit 4
Thursday - Unit 3
Friday - Leftovers Night
Runs
For those of you who've been coming out to Moab with us year in and year out, you know that group size has become a growing problem (no pun intended). So, while we will still allow anyone to join us, there are a few things that we're going to establish as minimum requirements.
1. Tow points front and rear
2. Rocker Guards
3. 35" Tires - MINIMUM
4. Lockers front and rear
5. ALL Project-JK decals (windshield, side logos, rear fenders, etc./Black windshield decals not allowed)
6. NO decals from other websites or manufacturers who do not support us
If you are staying in one of our condos and do not have all our decals, please let me know and I will send you what you need. What you do with them after the trip is up to you but, if you wish to do runs with us, they need to be clearly displayed on your Jeep.
Because of the extreme size of our group, we will only be focusing our filming on the first 10 Jeeps. We are asking that you purposefully change up your positions throughout the runs so that everyone gets a chance to be in our films. Everyone going is capable and experienced and for the most part, I'm going to ask that you spot yourselves and/or help others nearby to spot for you as needed.
Trails to be run to be announced.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
